Andy Cooke

Love his work.. Very 'hands on' approach. I have similar processes to him and I just really like how he uses traditional techniques but maintains this modern, fresh and inspiring feel to his work.

Airside

This is a design agency I have followed closely online- they give one a clear insight into their working methodologies and process. I love this particular design they did for Airplot. I like the way they created their own typeface based on fields and made simple cardboard stamps for the template of this new typeface.

Everything's Connected

A timeline I designed in letterpress. It depicts the 22 years of my personal life and also major events around the world. These events are blind embossed so that the 2 subjects are not confused but also portrays the concept of 'the butterfly effect'. Thus, one never will know, but a little, seemingly meaningless event that has happened in my life could of effected other worldwide occurrences.

D.I.Y

Do It Yourself Project... This gave us a chance to experiment and explore what areas we want to go into. This image here is just showing my work in progress- scanned in images from letterpress. I wanted to work with words, poetry and rhymes, thus I believe that letterpress was the most appropriate medium to work in.

Football Badge

I was asked to re- design the logo of my ladies football team, Battersea and Wandsworth Borough FC, the second one. The client wanted the image of the Battersea Power Station to be central to design. I re- designed the original one into a more cohesive design. I used the colours of that of the kit we play in; white, orange and black.

Brazil

These are just a few photographs from a project that I did in Paraty, Brazil. I went on to make a book out of them.

Stonelink International

This is the branding I designed for a new company, Stonelink International, who deal with high- end property. The client wanted a simple but elegant design, thus I used one shape and limited it to just three colours.

Hampstead Heath

This project was about map finding. We had to go to Hampstead Heath and produce a map of a five minute walk. I began thinking about parks in general, their purpose, the reasons for people going there, etc. As I was walking round the Heath, I jotted down some of the things I observed and the feelings that I had at the time. This lead me on to creating this visual map of thoughts and the navigation is through the words.
