I took these photos as part of an assigned project: Beyond the Boundaries. I found Canning Town a strange place, quite gloomy and miserable, but also even though it had a very urban feel to it and it was only 15 minutes away from Waterloo, I felt like I was a million miles away from London. As one can see in the photos, there were many contrasting landscapes, with rubbish in the foreground of sight and then sky- risers in the background. I used some of these photos as part of my development work and I also did some drawings from them.
